These are the hotels who participate and help us present this event. There are also multiple Rental Houses and Vacation Condo’s. Rates for October vary throughout the year, you know how that goes, depending on where they are at, on Occupancy. The closer the event gets the fewer rooms are left or you might see a higher price because all that’s left are their more expensive rooms.

There are ALWAYS rooms available, you’ll just need to look harder when the event draws close. Also check back because sold out hotels will have cancellations even week of. Most hotels because it’s a resort town and a big event weekend will ask for 2 or 3 night minimums. Some do though offer an extra added night at discount or sometimes a 4th night free, with their minimum booking.

Also most hotels dramatically drop their prices on non event mid week nights. Coming for both weekends you find much lower Mon-Wed. prices. The Chamber of Commerce has a full Hotels Listing.

They were listed very high for October early this year but many hotels have reduced their festival night room rates. However, as their inventories diminish late in Summer, they will raise them once again. Avalon Hotel Rates Fluctuate throughout. What you see today may not be the price tomorrow. Keep Shopping Around. If using travel sites like Trivago, Booking.com, Hotels.com, Expedia, please know that hotels only give those sites X amount of rooms. Those sites may SAY a hotel is Not Available or Sold Out but only because they’ve sold the rooms given to them. Check with the Hotel’s own website as well.

We apologize for the hotel gouging during our festival. We try to give you as much information as possible to counter it, but the hotels are out of our control. If you stayed at a hotel last festival and now find the price much higher, ASK THEM IF YOU CAN HAVE THE SAME RATE AS YOU PAID THEM LAST YEAR. Don’t hesitate to Try and Negotiate.

Getting a 2 or 3 bedroom Air B&B and splitting the costs between couples is also an idea. Some hotels offer 3rd night discounted. Some hotels offer a 4th night free. All hotels vastly reduce their weeknight rates between festival weekends. Stay an extra night or 2, ahead of, or after and feel better with those lower week night rates. Enjoy the Island and the tiny seaport village on a non music night. Because on the festival weekends there is Music, Music, Music.
