JazzTrax Festival Information to Know
Festival Ticket Sales Yearly Schedule
1. A Pre Ticket Order Form in October’s Festival Program filled in and mailed by Nov. 1st allows you to keep same seats or tables for next year.
Full Weekend Series (and Thursday Evening Unplugged Under the Stars on Descanso Beach Tickets) Are On Sale All Year Beginning Tuesday of Thanksgiving Week.
Single Day Tickets Go On Sale Annually the Tuesday before Memorial Day Weekend when the Full Festival Line-Up and Festival Performance Schedule are Posted Single Day is .. Friday Evening Only (includes 1 session, 2 acts) .. All Day Saturday (includes 2 sessions, 4 acts) .. All Day Sunday (includes 2 sessions, 4 acts)
(Check back later in Summer per any remaining unsold tables opening up to Single Day)
These SINGLE DAY TICKETS Include All Sessions on That Day in Same Seat FRIDAY SINGLE DAY is 1 Evening Session SATURDAY AND SUNDAY are BOTH Afternoon & Evening Sessions.
Each Session has 2 Full Concert Performances by 2 Different Artists Afternoon Session Ends around 3:30 pm giving time for Dinner Reservations and Such Evening Sessions Begin at 7 pm Doors Open Afternoon Sessions 11:30 am, Evening Sessions 6:30 pm, 30 minutes before showtimes.

Table Seating in Ballroom Sells Only to Full Weekend Series Purchase unless late in Summer it appears there might be remaining availability
Any Sessions that have remaining tickets as event arrives can be purchased per session, Afternoon OR Evening, at Event
Food and Drinks Policy
NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS ARE ALLOWED

Use of phone for stills or Videotaping
Smart Phones taking pictures and video are okay but PLEASE DO NOT HOLD YOUR PHONE UP TAKING LONG VIDEO’S Very Annoying for anyone behind you. Please Do Short Video’s Only. No Professional Photography or Professional Video Camera’s are allowed per contractual with Artists.
If you are taking long video’s security if requested by those around you, will ask you to Stop. If you are watching anything on your phone or I-Pad, even sporting events during performance, you must lay your phone or I-Pad down FLAT so those watching concerts are not LOOKING THROUGH WHAT YOU ARE WATCHING OR TAPING. Keep your phones and I-Pads private, not making others look through what you are doing, except for short pictures taken quickly, not constantly, and short video’s to send to friends to entice them into coming next year or posting on social media. But don’t let your phone “linger” in the air in front of others. This is a JazzTrax concerts No-No. Don’t be offended if Security tells you to Stop. You’ve been forwarded.
Thursday's Unplugged at Descanso Beach
Thursdays are the only JazzTrax Outdoor Shows. Different seating chart so must be purchased separately. Private Cabana’s and Chaise Lounges normally Sell Out very early in the year. We suggest spending entire Thursday Evening including Dinner at Descanso Beach especially for the 1 hour of daylight still over the Pacific Ocean. Bars and Food open ahead of 6 pm show start time. We try and get venue to begin Bar and Food service at 5 pm at the Beach Bar Zone just outside Concert Sand Section. Beach Opening Act at 6 pm or shortly thereafter. Headliner at 7:30 pm with Darkness.

Getting Around the Island
Everything in Avalon is Walkable including the 5 minute stroll from town down boardwalk to Casino Descanso Beach is another 5 minute stroll further past Casino along ocean front boardwalk There is Taxi Service in Avalon 310-510-0025

Each Festival Saturday Night after Final Performance .. don’t miss the JazzTrax Afterparty at Descanso Beach. Dancing on the Beach till 1 a.m. Full Bar and Food Service.

For this Saturday Night AfterParty at Descanso. Begins approximately 10:45 pm.
Avalon is filled with great restaurants and shops. Dinner Reservations are highly recommended. Get out early for Breakfast. Food is available for purchase in Ballroom. Thursday we highly suggest you eat dinner at Descanso Beach at concert.
Overnight Accomodations in Avalon include .. Hotels .. House Rentals .. Villa’s at Hamilton Cove .. Hermit Gulch Campground .. Boat Moorings
For Single Day Festival Purchasers “DAYTRIPPERS’ who are NOT staying overnight .. Take Note per BOATS There is a Catalina Express Late Boat off the Island after final performance each Festival Saturday and Sunday .. departing back TO LONG BEACH ONLY around 11:30 pm After Final Performance each of those days. ON FRIDAYS …….The last boat off the Island is 10:15 pm and returns only to Long Beach.
ON THURSDAYS …….There are NO boats off the Island to accommodate after our Unplugged Shows.
